Celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve at Ugly Butterfly, St. Ives

Ugly Butterfly restaurant in St. Ives Cornwall

If there's one thing the Adam Handling Restaurant Group is known for, it's throwing a good party, and there's no better way to celebrate the festive season than with stunning views across one of the world's most beautiful coasts.

With sustainable, local, luxury in mind. Ugly Butterfly is all about British food, inspired by Cornwall. The five and seven-course tasting menus will be available throughout the festive season, celebrating the very best of British food and taking inspiration from the unbelievable ingredients produced in and around Cornwall.

Ugly Butterfly will also be open on Christmas Day, serving a £175pp Christmas menu with the chef's selection of snacks and starters that include scallops served with roe butter and caviar and venison with charcoal and chicory. The main course options are beef Wellington, Balmoral turkey and lemon sole served with brown shrimp and samphire. All dishes are served with festive trimmings. Desserts are no less delicious including Christmas pudding with brandy and quince, chestnut and nutmeg.

All the stops have been pulled out for a sensational eight-course New Year's Eve menu at Ugly Butterfly. Starting with a glass of Adam Handling's own label English Sparkling, guests will be celebrating the occasion with dishes that showcase Cornish ingredients. They'll enjoy the likes of Cornish crab, Cornish salted caviar, 'Turbot, mussels and salsify and venison served with artichoke and truffle. The party will continue in the Ugly Butterfly bar, where a live DJ will be entertaining guests until the early hours.
