Cornish Tipi Weddings, St Kew

This quirky wedding venue is located in a secret woodland valley situated just five minutes from the wild Atlantic coast and surrounded by 16 acres of countryside blooming with wild ferns, bluebells, ancient oaks and meadowsweet. There's a shimmering lake at the heart of it where ceremonies can take place by the water's edge. A romantic idea at dusk is to host a Festival of Light ceremony with floating candles and flowers released into the water.

Ceremonies are also conducted in the fully licensed wedding pavilion made from wood, willow and canvas, set deep in the heart of the secret valley by a clear brook. It seats up to 50 guests inside, with space for a further 50 loved ones outside on the decking. For larger weddings of more than 100 people, additional seating can be arranged outside. Straw bales covered with coloured rugs are a great way of accommodating larger numbers.  Post-ceremony drinks and canapés take place in the largest tipi structure, the Grand Lodge. It seats up to 20 guests or hosts up to 50 loved ones standing and is located in a woodland clearing.
The purpose-built Safari tent marquee can seat up to 250 guests for the wedding breakfast and reception and sits on a wooden deck in a grassy meadow with room on the marquee lawn for guests to enjoy the great outdoors. There's the option of a barbecue or a woodland picnic, and weddings can be suitably themed, for example, a Mad Hatter's Tea Party. The firepit adds a romantic ambience at dusk, with guests oasting marshmallows, lighting sparklers and star-gazing.

The new Mr & Mrs can spend their wedding night in a tipi situated on a private site, and guests will receive a wedding guest discount when booking overnight accommodation in an on-site tipi.

We love... the secluded lake for wedding photographs. Couples can be photographed on the jetty, the floating pontoon, or inside the rowing boat.
